“Stop getting lost”

 

Rhodes Old Town is particularly reputed not only as part of UNESCO’s Wolrd Heritage List, but also for its urban planning which makes it an inextricable maze (48 hectares). If you venture on your own to discover it, you are almost assured to miss what is interesting and end up in one of the traditional “tourist trap”. Or if you play it safe you don’t venture outside the main streets and you end up having seen what everybody sees. With a professional, you will get information about eating and drinking, shopping, nightlife, cultural events and the prices. You will learn how to get around in the various neighnourhoods (residential, commercial and historical) while escaping the multinational herd pacing aimlessly in the main 2 streets.

We will also visit the more animated part of the modern town :”Mandraki”. In this neighbourhood orientation is key, as it is where you will find shopping center, nightlife and gastronomy, as well as other points of interest. We know it well, the good places are most of the time invisible at first.

At the end of a 1h30 walk, you will know enough of Rhodes Town to enjoy it at its best.

This “initiatory” tour/walk is especially advised at the beginning of your stay.
